Re: Bug: Build 359.0 Split/Merge Documents fail on single input file
Hello, chrisjj
Sorry but, could I ask for a description of the intent here? I can only guess at what your desire is unless you elaborate a bit more than just the title here.
For now, I will take a guess and hope it is in the right direction.
The only change I see in your settings is that you have selected to "flatten" instead of ignore (or "do not copy") comments into the newly generated file. With those options as they are, what you are seeing should be entirely expected.
As the merge function generates a new file, the first settings you show indicate that the comments should not be included, and so you only see the base content (this is what happens in your screenshots, so I would say this is working). In the second set, where you have "flatten" enabled, again, the input document is processed, and the existing comments are flattened into base content, then included in the newly generated file (again this seems to be what happened in your screenshot, so I would again say this is working).
Is there something wrong with this process?
Kind regards,

Just program works properly?
> I can only guess at what your desire is unless you elaborate a bit more than just the title here.
Title is: Split/Merge Documents fail on single input file
Desire is: Split/Merge Documents not fail on single input file
> The only change I see in your settings is that you have selected to "flatten"
Sorry, that was an orphan attachment, not part of the report. Now deleted.
> In the second set, where you have "flatten" enabled
There's no change of settings.
On a two-page document, Split/Merge operates, and its Do Not Copy succeeds.
On a one-page document, Split/Merge fails to operate, and its Do Not Copy fails.
Kind regards,

Hello, chrisjj
I cannot say that we are able to reproduce this behaviour you are describing, could I ask you to please send us a copy of the original PDF sample file you are working with, and an export of your PDF-Tools "tools": so we can test here using the same settings you are and possibly identify what outside of the split/merge tool could be part of this issue?
Kind regards,

Can you say you are unable?

I did. In the original report.

Hello, chrisjj
Kind regards,
My apologies, you did indeed send the PDF document, it was a force of habit to ask for the file at the same time as the settings export for tools issues, in any case, I do not have an export of your PDF-tools "tools" which I will need to reproduce this issue with.

Hello, chrisjj
Are you still using Build 359? The issue was fixed in Build 360. Can you please update PDF Tools and check if it works for your case?
Best regards,

Hi,
You will have to verify the version history of PDF-XChange Tools, instead of PDF-XChange Editor:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/produc ... #9.3.360.0
Kind regards.

Thanks. My error!
I see it: "Fixed an issue with processing Form Fields, Comments and Bookmarks correctly in the 'Split/Merge Documents' action in the case of a single input document."
