The same objects selected only within one page move without problems. This applies to both moving the mouse cursor and keyboard arrows.

Yes - this is because of the internal structure of PDF files - and the fact that each page is effectively independent of any other pages in the same file. So contents does not really "flow" as in some other file formats, and as such you can't select and manipulate content on two pages - even if it is just nudging the selection with the same offset on both pages.
