Hide "File" Register

Post by Xmedia »

Hello all,
I would like to use the software in a digital signage solution and therefore want to hide some functions. I was already able to hide various functions without further ado. In order to achieve the maximum display height, it would be very good if I could also hide the "File" tab.
Is there an option or an idea for this?

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards

I do not know if function-key F8 is available on your virtual keyboard, but that key hides/shows all the ribbons at once.

Does that help?

Hello,

As willy says, F8 would be the function you are looking for, that is the only way to hide the ribbon strip which the file tab resides on.

Hello all,

I have a supplementary question about the F8 function.
Is there a setting option so that the software always starts like this?

I wanted to run PDF Xchange on 20 clients and configure everything via the settings export. But if I hide the "File menu" I no longer have access to export the settings.
If the file menu is shown, I can make the export, but after a restart the file menu is always shown when the settings are automatically updated...

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you

Greetings

When you quit PDF-XChange Editor with hidden toolbars, it will start like that the next time.

So, what about the idea of adding the "Export Settings"-command/icon to the Title bar of PDF-XChange Editor ?

Hello, Willy Van Nuffel

You can also use the "quick launch" search bar on the far right of the title bar to search for the "export settings" command, and just run it directly, no need to add it to the toolbar to be exported as well.

That is another approach that works as well, indeed, and for whatever command, not only for 'export settings'.

Thank you for making us remember that.
