Suggestion: Tooltip for "Snapshot"
As seen in this discussion https://forum.pdf-xchange.com/viewtopic.php?t=39586
the tooltip conceals the other features of this command. It could be extended a little bit.PDF-X-Change Pro German

Re: Suggestion: Tooltip for "Snapshot"
Hello Peter2,
The main feature of the snapshot tool is to add the selected region to the clipboard as an image.
Yes - there are ways to expand on that functionality - but the tooltips have to be relatively short and pointing to the main features of a tool.
May I ask what your suggestion would be for expanding on this tooltip?
Kind regards,
Stefan

Re: Suggestion: Tooltip for "Snapshot"
Sometimes it is difficult to summarize all the possibilities of a tool into its tooltip.
The Snapshot-tool not only offers the opportunity to copy the selected region to the clipboard, but also to:
- export the selected area to an image (or to Word, Excel or PowerPoint)
- create a bookmark pointing to the selection
- OCR that area
- print it
- add a link
- add a sticky note
- ...
So, one could add something like "Right-click the selected area for more options." ?
Kind regards.
Willy

Re: Suggestion: Tooltip for "Snapshot"
Hello Willy Van Nuffel,
Thanks for pointing out how many more things you can do with the snapshot tool.
However, adding "right click instructions" to a tooltip I also find a bit unusual - as pretty much any tool should have a right click menu, and it is kind of implied that you can do that said right click to see if there are any further options in the context menu.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Agreed. You are right. So, keep it on the context menu.

Hello Peter2,
Thanks - but this would need to be added to most tooltips
For now we will leave it as it is!
Kind regards,
Stefan
