I know the way to fill forms with CSV, and this works fine. Now I'm looking for the next step:
Fill images dynamically
------
Situation:
The forms that I'm creating are for surveying, and every "Page" (every CSV row) has geographic coordinates for North and East. In another database-software, using VB script, I can defined "reports" which create a PDF output (a static one, not a form) with dynamic creation of an image, calling a WMS server.
It takes the coordinates, calculates an area and creates an URL to call a WMS-service with "point at North/East and image area = .."
With this database I create a CSV to fill my PDF forms with data.
-----
Question:
Is there an idea to fill also "image-form" with image-data from CSV?
I know that CSV can not store images, but it can store URLs as text. So I could fill some field in my forms with the URL. but I have to call the URL to create a dynamic image which has to be placed in the form.
Sounds not that easy - any ideas?
Thanks
Peter

Re: Fill Forms: How to fill an image form?
Hello, Peter2
At the moment that is not possible. If you were to do something like this you would need to haev a seaprate text field which users adding an image could manually enter the URL for the image independently from the image itself.
You may also wish to read over our form field information KB article. as it explains how "image fields" do not actually exist, instead we use special custom javascript with a button and force that button to "inherit" the image you select as its icon.

Re: Fill Forms: How to fill an image form?
Hi Peter,
in the new build you can now do that. You just need to specify the full file name of the image in the input CSV file and it will work like in this video:

enjoy!
