"Document Assembly" permission - false negative ? SOLVED

Hi Support,

For the next permission setting (simple password security):

Document Properties / Security will display:

I think "Document Assembly" is true for such permission settings?


The PDF:

No, that is correct, Document assembly is not only those the options you have allowed, there are plenty of other tasks which are disallowed, and so document assembly is listed as not allowed. The categories are a bit large to properly segregate every option into separate parts, so there will be times when one category which is "not allowed" will still allow some, just not all, of its functions to be used.

The only time that the entire document assembly category is "allowed" while security is applied, is when you specify "any except extracting pages".

I asked this because the-other-pdf-software-that-we-will-not-name for this document lists Document Assembly as *is* allowed for it.

p.s.
In essence this (Doc Props / Restrictions) is actually not so important (since Editor does allow to Insert and Delete pages for this doc) - just wanted your view on this.
