Hello folks,
I would like to use the PDF tools to automatically compress files into a tmp directory after selection. That works great.
Now I always want to empty the directory first.
Does anyone know how to add a delete command to the batch statement?
Thanks.

Re: Delete Directory before PDF-Tools compressed
Hi Nimrod,
Tools itself does not have such a functionality. I spoke to the dev team leader about this and he is not keen to add such a feature as it has the potential to cause data loss if used incorrectly. With the best will in the world, we do not want to be responsible for user's data loss.
I suggest you continue cleaning that out prior to running the tool as you are now. How do you call the tool? If it is a script of some kind you could always do a check for files in the folder and delete them prior to calling PDF-Tools.
Sorry there is not a way currently to do that from within PDF-Tools.

Re: Delete Directory before PDF-Tools compressed
Thank you for the info.
I can understand the concerns and I think they are good. But it would be nice if there was a way add a batch command for doing this.
Or is it possible to run a PDF-Tool by Batch or VBSript?
That would be enough for me.

Hi Nimrod,
I assume you found this then? https://help.pdf-xchange.com/pdfxt ... ons_t.html
PDFXTools.exe /RunTool specifically should do the trick.
