It would be very useful if there were an option which would imprint, in the right hand margin opposite, the (logical) page number pointed to by any links on a page.
This would then allow anyone looking at a hardcopy to "follow" the link.

Re: Option to imprint link target page number in margin
To explain, and put in context, the rationale for this new feature request...
There are three ways of jumping to a page in a PDF:
1. you can type the logical page number in the box at the bottom of the panel.
2. You can tap on a bookmark
3. You can tap on a link
In order to facilitate collaboration and discussion between those who view a PDF and those who are using a hardcopy of it, it should be possible to broadly replicate 1, 2, and 3 in a hardcopy.
To broadly replicate 1 in a hardcopy you can use Organise - Header and Footer to print page numbers on each page (matching the logical page numbers) which are then visible in the hardcopy and can be used to locate the desired page.
To broadly replicate 2 in a hardcopy you can use Bookmarks - Build Table of Contents to create a TOC listing, which is then visible in the hardcopy. The TOC lists each bookmark and the page it points to.
The purpose of this feature request is to provide a means of broadly replicating 3 by showing the logical page number pointed to by the link, which will then appear in the hardcopy.

Re: Option to imprint link target page number in margin
Hello, Nemo
Thank you for the request here, and sorry for taking so long to get back to you. There are quite a few possible issues with a request like this, but it is something that, after some discussion with the Dev team, they have asked for a feature request to be made for. Note that this is not a promise to implement the feature as of yet, nor a guarantee of any timeline, but it does mean we will be looking into it further to try and find a way that we can offer it for you.

Hello Daniel
I have noticed that the mouseover text for links shows the page number so all it needs is an option on the Print panel which will print the mouseover text as a marginal note.

Hello Nemo,
Thanks for the suggestion! I will pass it on to the dev working on the ticket, though the implementation they will do might be different.
Kind regards,
Stefan
