Hi,
I am trying to deploy PDF Xchange Editor ver 8 using VMware Horizon 7.12 and App Volumes version 4.0 and when I assign the application to our end users, it causes the PC to crash with a BSOD.
Has anyone had any luck with deploying PDF Xchange on a VDI solution?
Regards,
Hugh

Re: VMware Horizon App Volume deployment
Hi mcdaidh,
we test or software in VMWare, Hyper-V, Xen, and libvirt, though we don't 'certify' them, we have not seen the BSOD you describe.
We have tested VMWare Thin App deployment for a client, and saw some slow responses to iterating printer lists, but no BSOD.
I am not terribly conversant with VMware Horizon 7.12 and App Volumes version 4.0 itself. From what I am seeing here: https://www.vmware.com/products/horizon-apps.html it should be fine for the Editor.
Short of setting up the exact same environment as you and attempting to reproduce the Blue ScreenI am not sure how to advise you troubleshoot this.
Are you using the current build of the Editor? We did have some BSOD issues some months back that was fixed. You definitely want to test 8.0.340.0 and get back to us.
