Where to select font and point size?

This is not on the toolbar. I cannot find it in preferences. The FAQ pdf example says to double click on any text tool text and a font bar appears--no it does not?

From the View menu, Toolbars, show the properties toolbar.

The text font, size, colour, etc., are shown on that when a comment is being edited by double-clicking on the text (not on the comment border. When a comment is selected, the properties toolbar will show the comment's properties)
