Sugg: Drag&Drop or Copy-to-Clipboard for files

Post by Peter2 »

Example:
- I open a PDF in Editor, modify it or not.
- I want add the file (drop it) to my opened Outlook-calendar (or opened E-mail)
-> What to do?

There are the feature "Copy filename", "Go to folder", "Save as", "Send as Email", but I miss a "Drag&Drop or Copy-to-Clipboard" for files (not for content). This could be a fine and quick solution for my question above.

Hi Peter,

The ability to drag & drop to Outlook should be done through Explorer, I'm not actually sure that it would be possible for us to implement. Even if it were possible, I believe that it would require quite a bit of work and I don't believe it something that we would be interested in implementing, at this time.

Copying the file to clipboard is typically handled by a file system browser, but it may be possible for us to implement. I'll pass this suggestion along for consideration.

Thanks,
