Print job sizes using viewer

Post by ml1 »

I've got a 182k PDF created using PDF XChange. When I print it using:

Code: Select all

-a HP Laserjet 8100 PS with the default XP driver:
-results in a 1.86MB print job using Acrobat
-results in a 31MB print job using your viewer

-a HP Laserjet 8100 PCL with the default XP driver:
-results in a 2.29MB print job using Acrobat
-results in a 12.2MB print job using your viewer
The differences are quite dramatic because it looks like everything is being printed as bitmaps.

Do you have any plans to do more tweaking to the printing code?

For this question, the viewer application. We can't get the DLL to work.

Can you please advise if you have tried any of the Example applications and if so which ones ?

The Clarion SDK's for example have all been revised today and some minior issues resolved - so a new download is available.

Please advise your the development tool you use and I will try and assist in more detail - at the moment the information is too vague to offer any prgamatic advice or help.

Also please advise the Operating system (Windows Version) in use.

Thanks

This thread was originally related to the viewer, not the DLL.

Here's the file I've been using for the viewer/Acrobat comparison.
