Block / Hide / redact content
I have several PDF documents that I am trying to redact text from, for example I have a credit report that I want to redact all but the last four digits of the account number from. To do this I have been using a rectangle tool with a solid black fill to show the redaction. I then print the document to a new PDF with the though that the new document will be a image file. Unfortunately, the new document also contains the rectangle that can be moved to expose the hidden text??? Acrobat will create a flat document. How can I get PDF Editor to accomplish this? I don't want to print the entire document to a paper printer and scan it back into to this.
Re: Block / Hide / redact content
Never mind, I found the option "print as image" on the print dialogue which accomplishes what I need! - hopefully this post will help others.

Re: Block / Hide / redact content
Hello Pavman,
An alternative would be the Redaction tool:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowledgebase/443
That can permanently remove content from a file (both text and image data)
Or the Edit Content Tool:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowledgebase/390
Both will make reprinting the file redundant, and there will be no information in the file that can be recovered (including by yourself so be careful )
Regards,
Stefan
