Missing Translation of Standard Viewer Alert
Although I have build 307 and German translation is set to 100% - the attached dialogue is still in English.

Re: Missing Translation of Standard Viewer Alert
Thanks Peter,
noted. We are very very appreciative of the work such people do. It is volunteer work and as such entirely up to them when/if translations are done.
I did pass this on to the volunteer that does the German translations, we'll see what comes.

Re: Missing Translation of Standard Viewer Alert
I didn't realize this, but the translation available for download from the website does already have this translated.

Which makes sense to me.German Translator wrote:The "100% translated status" is related to the files on your homepage, not to the files that were included in the installer. The translation of the newly added strings of a new build is always missing in the language files included in the installer.

Hi Paul
I'm missing two postings in this thread:
a) I thought that I answered to your first answer (I'm not absolutely sure, but rather sure ..)
b) And then Will posted too.
Now both postings are gone ..??

Will and I posted close together in time and Will figured he'd delete his duplicate response.
Not sure about your other one - I didn't see it...

Re: Missing Translation of Standard Viewer Alert
(Please consider that my posts for missing translations are meant as a hint, not as a claim.)
Here again in short version:
I loaded the current translation tool (307) for editor, opened the German "Strings". The caption of the tool displays "99.5%". Then I pressed "Next untranslated string": No result ...
Then I clicked through the navigation-pane and find a dialogue with one missing string (but not the one I mentioned) and under "Strings / Unsorted" there were 11 strings ...
So - is there a special behaviour of "Next untranslated string"?
Peter
PS: The dialogue after double-click on a xclpack-file is also in English.
OK, seem to be my mistake.Paul - Tracker Supp wrote:...Not sure about your other one - I didn't see it...

Re: Missing Translation of Standard Viewer Alert
The latest public available language file has the MD5 hash It's also contained in the installer of build 307.1.
Can you either compare the hash of your Strings.de-DE.xcl or update to build 307.1 and see if this resolves the issue?

Re: Missing Translation of Standard Viewer Alert
I just loaded from https://www.pdf-xchange.com/editor_lang, where the info is "2014-01-10 15:44:15" and the MD5 is "eb2a9f1e46ebe05778c7feb258aea5ed".
I started it three times - always with message OK, but always in English.

Re: Missing Translation of Standard Viewer Alert
eb2a9f1e46ebe05778c7feb258aea5ed is the MD5 hash of the German.xclpack file. I actually posted the hash of Strings.de-DE.xcl.
The xclpack file is a simple zip archive, you can extract Strings.de-DE.xcl and replace the language file manually.
Have you installed the language pack for the current user or for all users? Maybe an older version of Strings.de-DE.xcl from your user profile is used instead?

Re: Missing Translation of Standard Viewer Alert
Yes; I have
and the alert about the "Standard viewer" is now OK. But doubleclick on the xclpack-file still opens an English message.

This message is not translatable at the moment. It's in English here, too.

Re: Missing Translation of Standard Viewer Alert
Is there a chance to contact the translator?
Because I have a suggestion for the german translation:
I think "Positivliste" and "Negativliste" is a better translation for "Whitelist" and "Blacklist", particulary for people who don't know the english words.

Hi Peter,
It's BigMike that maintains the German Translations - so I am sure he will see your suggestion when he reads this topic again.
Regards,
Stefan
