pdf from Sketchup
Hi
I work with the 3d application Sketchup and I can export from there files as pdf. In Sketchup I can choose like seen on "dialog" with or without creating Sketchup Layers.
When I choose (default) yes then the result ist like "savelayers" and then there is something wrong because the layers are visible on every page.
When choose no then the results are like "notsavelayers". Then it is correct. This way all is fine. I tell you this because I think it must be something wrong because: Viewing the file "savelayers" with X-Change Viewer then I see also a correct view, only when view it with the Editor then all layers are visible on every page and this is wrong. The preview Icons on Window are allways fine even on Editor.
I can work with "notsavelayers", this is fine for me, this message is information for you if maybe something is wrong and I hope you can folow me

Re: pdf from Sketchup
Hi Zacchia,
Thanks for the post - I believe that this is because support for layers has not yet been implemented in the Editor, so once such support has been implemented you should see this work as expected.
We hope to have this available for build 307 or 308.
Cheers,

Hi Zacchia,
We will need to see actual samples of such PDF documents to be able to answer correctly, but it could be that some documents are created from scanned images and then the white is part of the image, and other times - it's a vector PDF and the white background is added by our Editor for readability.
Regards,
Stefan

Hi Zacchia,
I am sorry but I can't fully understand your last post! Is that "inside pdf tool" one of our products? It could be that this internal tool doesn't support transparency, while our Lite driver does.

Stefan

The "inside pdf tool" is not your product.

Re: pdf from Sketchup
Thanks for the clarification Zacchia!
So is the transparency an issue or the desired effect?

Re: pdf from Sketchup
I need to have transparency and the other application make an issue I think. So I work now just with the XChange Lite
