I have PDF Exchange Viewer PRO, Ver. 2.5 (Build 201.0). It appears that PRO is no longer available, so not sure if this is the correct forum for my questions.
1. In the Recent Documents list, I can remove the documents one at a time, or remove the complete list. On my list, I have a lot of entries which say 'Invalid Preview Error: the system cannot find the file specified'. I believe this is because I opened a .pdf from a website link, but did not Save It. Probably 70% of the documents on the list are of this type. That takes a lot of time to remove one at a time.
I am looking for some way to select a group of such files, and delete them all at once--similar to Ctrl + left click in Windows Explorer.
Is there some way that I can achieve this?
2. Also, I see that there is a newer version of PRO, but I cannot find anywhere something that tells me the changes since 2.5, Build 201.0. Is there such a Change Log for this program on the website?
Thanks for your help,
Harry

Re: Recent Documents question
Hi hmw,
Thanks for the post - the ability to do this is under "Manage Recents List", at the bottom of the recents list itself. If you click that, a window will open and at the bottom, there is an option to remove broken links. Do note though, that this can increase startup times. As for a later release of the Viewer - here's the link to the latest installer (build 212):
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/PDFXVwer.zip
Here's the change log:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/PDFXV_history.html
Lastly, it may be worth noting that the Viewer has now been replaced by the Editor - please see the following for details:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product ... nge-viewer
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product ... nge-editor
Cheers, hope that helps!

Re: Recent Documents question
Will:
My 'Manage Recent Lists' does not look like yours, and does not have the option to remove broken links. I have uploaded a screenshot of mine. I looked at all of the updates since the one I have (thanks for that list--I was not able to find it), and I don't see anything that stands out relative to the remove broken links option--but it may be hidden under a different name.
I had previously looked at the 'Editor'. I have a hard time reading some of the information on the tracker site. I could never find a feature comparison of the Editor and PDF Viewer PRO. I bought mine in combination with PDF Tools, and looking through my records, I bought them 1 month before the current 'free upgrade to Editor' offer deadline. So I think I will stick with what I have.
Before I download the latest installer (thanks for that link also), I would like to understand why my 'Manage Recent Lists' differs from yours. I don't want to have inadvertently created a problem and perpetuate it with an upgrade.
P.S. I run my PDF Viewer on Windows XP PRO SP3, if that makes any difference.

Re: Recent Documents question
Hi Hmw,
Thanks for the screen-shot - this could be related to the fact that you are using build 201, instead of build 212. Please download and run the following to install build 212, then you should be able to do what I did:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/PDFXVwer.zip
Let me know how this goes!

Will:
Got it, and the update added the option. And it works great also. Thanks.
But Viewer-PRO installation still gets confused. It automatically 'reverts' to the s/n for my PDF-Exchange Lite 4, which means the Free version of Viewer is presumed. I have to find my correct s/n and manually add it to get PRO.
While I was at it, I thought I would download the latest PDF-Tools, which I also own [Version 4.0.0199.0]. The Version History (I found it this time) says the latest is 5.0.0271.0, released 29-08-2013. But the text on the Tools web page says: Current Version: 4.0212 (Updated on 29 Aug 2013), and when I unzip the file, PDFT4.exe Properties tab also says 4.0212. So before I install it, I want to make sure I have the correct version 5.0.0271.0. Please advise.

Re: Recent Documents question
Yes the Version number for PDF-Tools is still on 4..... as this product is yet to be revamped to a full '5' rewrite - once the Editor release settles down - our project team will split and some dev's will be re-assigned on this project to take advantage of the new core libraries we completed earlier this year and on which our other products are based.
