Deploy Language Packs

We deploy PDF-XChange Viewer using the MSI installers. Is there a way to deploy the needed language packs for OCR as well?

Hi sedell,

at present you must install the OCR language packs after installing the Viewer. To integrate the language packs into the installers is not practical as it would mean either many unique installers or a single installer that would be very large in size.

The simplest solution is to install your Viewer using the MSI then run the chosen language pack installers once the Viewer install is complete.

I need a solution to install the language packs silent.
I have to deploy the files on 2000 computers with a software deployment tool, so a switch command or msi package would be nice

Hello Jan,

I don't think an MSI installer is planned for the OCR languages at this moment, but please check this topic for instructions how to manually "install" any needed languages:

You can do this once on a test machine, and then install the Viewer via the .msi installers to all 2000 users and then just copy/replace the OCR files with the ones you've set up manually.
