OFFice2PDF: Problems with Normal.dot - "already open"

Post by Peter2 »

Word 2003, PDF XChange Pro Build 201, Win XP German

When the software is "printing" more then one file, then it happens that MS Word displays alerts regarding the "saving of Normal.dot".

I tried it with "Show Applications GUI" - then it happens always when the batch is finished.
I tried it also without "Show Applications GUI" - then it happens sometimes while the batch is running.

There are three different messages - the contents is nearly the same: it can not save "Normal.dot" (I checked my options - it does not ask to save normal.dot).

Hi Peter,

Do you have any other third party MS office add-ins? As our Office2PDF is not modifying the normal.dot on it's own.

Best,
Stefan

Yes, but I have to research with add-in it is. But normally there is no problem with normal.dot.

OK - please let us know when you have more detailed if you feel we are the source of the issue - though I am somewhat doubtful as we ahve many, many users using this and generally we would expect such an issue to have been reported by now and from many users rather than just one.

Thanks.
If posting files to this forum - you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded - thank you.
