I have followed the proper proceedure for the OCR, but I'm not able to search text when it is complete. Could someone please outline the proper proceedure. Or... is it not possible?

Hi Stephen,

there really isn't much more to tell you that isn't already in that KB article. If you are not able to select or search text in the resultant PDF please zip it up and attach it to this forum and we'll take a look for you.

Is there anything specific I should or should not do after I run the OCR? I can't even get a text cursor to appear after the process?

Hello Stephen,

After the OCR process completes - make sure to switch to the "Select Text" tool - and you will be able to select, copy, highlight and underline the new invisible layer of text that was added to your document.

Hi Stephen,

thanks for sending those samples by email. I sent a reply. Did you get it? I managed to OCR the large file you sent using the option to "Convert Page Content to Image Only - Add text as a layer" and can search this document.

I'm not sure what is happening at your end. We may need to think about a remote session so we can see first hand.
