When I begin to save an open .pdf file using "File" --> "Save as", a screen comes up with a list of five locations on the left-hand side. (It's a different list from the "Favorites" list in Windows Explorer, which displays the "Links" directory.)
How do I edit these five locations?
I knew how to do this some time ago, and the five locations there were definitely edited by me at that time, but I have completely forgotten what I did. I'm not even sure whether the task is performed within PDF XChange Viewer or outside it. I'm using 32-bit Windows 7 Professional.
How do I edit the five "Save as..." Locations?

Hello ParzivalRM,
This is definitely a default window generated by the OS and not by us, and I've never tried to reconfigure that myself, but I am sure there would be quite some tutorials online.
Best,
Stefan

Thank you. I expect that the change is made either in some control panel setting, or even in the registry. The maddening thing is that I did it before!
I've searched and searched through forums and advice websites using Google, and I've even searched on the Adobe website, but I can't get any answer.
Any advice gratefully received.

Problem solved.
For future reference, the list of five locations is called the "Places Bar", and a very clear explanation of how to customise the Places Bar can be found in Item 8 at:

As we say in Australia, I am now a happy little Vegemite.

Thanks for the link ParzivalRM
I certainly hope it will be useful to others as well!
I had to search what Vegemite is - and I hope it's with a milder taste than the local Marmite!
Cheers,
Stefan

Vegemite is definitely the go! Marmite is a dreadful New Zealand imitation that tastes so crook that it puts you off your tucker.

The UK slogan for Marmite is "Love it or Hate it" - and I am definitely in the second category
(and from what I've read it's even saltier and savourier than the NZ one )
Cheers,
Stefan

Shame on you Stefan! There is Vegemite in this office and it was here when you visited. I cannot abide life without Vegemite!
Marmite is a poor cousin. I must confess that it is an expensive here. This little jar costs $8:00!

Major vote for Marmite here - Vegemite is it sickly, pasty little goo that is designed for our Aussie cousins that cannot afford the real thing !
If posting files to this forum - you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded - thank you.
