Post by kejos »

Hi,
Could you please tell me is there any possibility to recognize character from graphic files (.jpg, .bmp and etc) or only from PDFs ?
Thanks

Hello Kejos,

Images inside PDF files are recognized - but at this time you can only OCR existing PDFs, and if you have a license for the Viewer you can convert any image file to a PDF document first and OCR it after that.

Yes I know but it's littlebit frustrating if you have twenty or more jpgs.

Hi Kejos,

take a look at this: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowled ... F-document

You can use that to collect all 20 images and convert them in a single operation to PDF then run the OCR. It's still not doing OCR on the image files directly but it does mean you don't have to OCR 20 separate documents.
