Is it feasible to include the ability to embed 3d models into a PDF ?
(Just like Acrobat3d ?)
Particularly I would be interested in support for the 3dm file format.
Best,
Thomas

Hi,
We will be expanding 3D support later this year (we do support U3D images now in conjunction with 'Spinfire' from Actify)
For more info on Spinfire please see :

If posting files to this forum - you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded - thank you.

I see spinfire works only within Office. (Is this right ?) ... we do not run Office in this location. We are mostly OpenOffice (is that a possibility ?)
Ideally, I would prefer a more direct aproach (as in the PDFtools converting images to PDF)

Hi,
I regret the Spinfire solution is MS Office only.
Further details on the specific's of direct 3D functionality for the future are not available - but your comments are most welcome and noted.
Thanks

Re: 3d PDF ?
Hello NBachus,
I am afraid that we are still not yet fully supporting Acrobat 3D content, but we are working on a new major version of our Viewer:
https://forum.pdf-xchange.com/ ... hp?t=10100
Which will supoprt plug-ins, and as a future plug-in we will investigate the possibility to correctly display 3D content inside PDFs.
Best,
Stefan
