Copy or Duplicate Pages within PDF

Post by Pavman »

I must be missing something simple but I cannot copy entire pages within the same PDF??? Here is what I am trying to accomplish, I am placing seperator pages between documents in one PDF, I would like to copy the pre-formated seperator pages into the needed spots. Right now I have to grab the thumbnail and drag it to a new pdf tab then drag it back into the original, except in the location I need. I know I can insert a blank page then copy and paste the contents of a page on itself but for all the steps involved I am guessing there has to be a simple way.

Am I missing something???

Hi Pavman,

I'll have one of the experts from the dev team confirm this but I don't think there is another way to do this. Perhaps in the new version when it is ready...

we do our best to respond to user requests and feature suggestions, there is just so much that could be done it can be difficult to maintain the right balance between usability and features.

The dev team are done for the day so you'll likely not get an answer/confirmation until tomorrow.

cheers

HI again Pavman,

the team have confirmed that there isn't a simpler way to do this right now but have taken a formal request to consider adding it to the new version.

Hi Pavman,

it is formally on the wish list: RT#1013: Feature Request: Copy or Duplicate Pages within PDF

I have asked for some feedback on when/if this will be possible. I should have something for you by tomorrow.

Hello ZoNi,

Apologies for the delay in following this one up. I just did check the ticket Paul made - and it's stalled and the feature is scheduled for inclusion in ver3 of the Viewer later this spring.

Best,
Stefan
