Compare document does not detect differences

The "Compare Document" function does not seem to recognize additional typewriter text or comments. Is this a limitation or am I missing something?

At the moment this is a limitation in what we offer. The compare documents function is a work in progress, and currently only compares certain base content items. In the future we do plan to expand this to include comments and other such item (as you can see from the report structure) but for the time being, these items are not compared, and will not be flagged as a difference.
