Create linked notes
Hi, is it possible to create notes connected to each other, obviously in different parts of the document, so that you can jump from one to another?
Thanks in advance
P.S.: Is it possible to have already flagged "Notify me when a reply is posted"?

Re: Create linked notes
Hello, Davide78
I am afraid that it is not possible to have comments linked in such a way. You could create link objects on the page alongside base text content to quickly open bookmarks and navigate around, but comments themselves cannot currently contain links like this.
As for your question about notify when a reply is posted. Yes, this can be configured from the user preferences on the forums: Kind regards,

Hello Davide78,
rakunavi
Perhaps you would like to do something similar to what is requested in the following topic, but it does not seem likely to be implemented at this time.
- How to Create Reciprocal Links Inside a Single File, Between Two Files?

Re: Create linked notes
how about this.
say add a note1 in page1, and add a "nameddest1" near it.
then
add a note2 in page2, and add a "nameddest2" near it.
then, somewhere near note1, add a hyperlink.
it seems the boundary for the hyperlink could overlap /w the note1.
and this hyperlink set to reach nameddest2.
vice versa.
practically bi-linked.
but very time consuming

I like the term "bi-linked". Did you, krstoevan, coin this or is it an established term of art? Much better than reciprocally linked or variants.krstoevan wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 11:23 am how about this.

Whatever it is called, Tracker Folk, we look forward to the day when that can be done with a one-click PDF-XCE function.
All best,

the app "obsidian" is build on the idea of bi linking.
you could dig out more yourself.

Thanks for the replies, unfortunately I will read them in the future because I can't devote myself to the subject now

Re: Create linked notes
hi, see my latest post on links using URI
i think we can now use it even for links like C:\xx or URI links like //server//path/file
since pdf xce could fire up links like onenote, mindmanager, i believe obsidian is also possible.
linking back to pdf xce is more troublsome, i'll use nameddest for this.
ps:
i have long been able to use this feature,
only prohibitied by the bug in v9.1 356.
now in latest version, the bug is gone.
Re: Create linked notes
Thank you krstoevan, but i need link between internal pdf documents note....Anyway, I'll read what you told me
Re: Create linked notes
i suppose it could be turn into internal links?
say... you disallow multiple instance, then any external link which call using pdfxce will ONLY use a single instance.
i think the supports could tell more on that?
thanks

Re: Create linked notes
Hello, krstoevan
I am not quite sure what it is you are meaning to ask here, but I can confirm that in the preferences (Ctrl_K) under "general > setup" we do offer a "single document mode" which would lock the software to only having one frame, with a single file in it, if that was the desire.
Kind regards,
