Hi,
is there any way that I could add tags that will be then recognized by windows for the purpose of sorting the files according to tags ? adding the custom property 'Tags' or 'Tag' didn't work.

Re: custom document metadata: Support for Windows Tags
Hi playmobilm
you can do this by adding comma separated "Keywords" to the document properties (CTRL+d)
and enabling the "Tags" column in Explorer:
And the column should be sortable:
does that give you what you seek?

Re: custom document metadata: Support for Windows Tags
Thanks Paul
just needed this information too.
But: for me the "terminology" is confusing - "Keywords" in dialogue, "Tags" in Explorer (and in German of course the same problem: "Schlüsselwörter" versus "Markierungen").
is this the best / the only one solution?

Re: custom document metadata: Support for Windows Tags
Hi Peter,
Sorry that you found this confusing, and it makes perfect sense that you would - however, sometimes there are simply differences between the terminology used in software and Windows. In the case of Metadata, 'keywords' are the correct term to use, and it's unfortunate that Windows uses a different term in its dropdown menus to reference the same data - but this is something that is unfortunately unlikely to change. Sorry that we can't offer you a better resolution than that.
Kind regards,
