PDF to Word

Post by Tamutka »

Hi everybody,
I am a new user, still inexperienced.
Trying to convert pdf to Word, following video
3. Converting Microsoft Word Documents to from PDF format in PDF-XChange Editor
But I got only a picture in Word and no text. It is the same, when I try to convert in Word, so I think there must be some isuues within my computer setting. Any advice, please?
I have Windows 10 and MS Office 13.

Probably your pdf consist of only images. Try to OCR first.....
It's impossible to lead us astray for we don't care even to choose the way.

Hello Tamutka,

Are you using the Standard or Enhanced OCR?
If using the standard - it is only able to add an invisible layer of text on top of the original image.
So when you convert that to a Word file - the text is made visible, but the image is also moved.
You can try to remove the image from the word file after conversion, or if you have an Editor Plus/Pro license - you can also try the Enhanced OCR which can replace the image with visible text directly in the PDF file, and when you then export to word there won't be an overlap between image and text.

Kind regards,
Stefan

Hi,
I have paid for Editor Plus/Pro license, as an upgrade for Standard but still not received new licence key. And I cannot select nothing in this option:

And I have my language installed.

Hello Tamutka,

Please DO NOT share any more license information in these public forums.
Your new license key should have been delivered to your e-mail and is also visible in your account on our website.
I see that we spoke earlier today over e-mails and I pointed you to where you can take the upgrade from.

Once you apply your new key (starts with PEP90-) - you might need to reinstall/check for updates so that you can get the latest Editor version with the EOCR also included.

Kind regards,
Stefan
