Is it possible to remove a section of a page in a PDF as in removing everything above the white background?
When you redact text you are still able to retrieve the text if you look hard enough, right?
So what about removing part of a page, so that if there is an element, text, image, shape and you would be able to remove part of it, with a rectangle selection tool for example, kind of like adding a white rectangle shape above what you want to delete (but actually deleting it so that you can't simply delete the rectangle to see what was below.
This question is actually related to having a rectangle AND lasso selection tool. So that would still be needed
To be able to partially/completely delete elements with a lasso tool would also be a neat feature.

How about Split Pages?
Create a horizontal (in your case) split line on the page which bifurcates the page into two. Delete the page that has the content you don't want.

Re: Is it possible to remove a section of a page [Question/Suggestion]
While we could discuss approaches for deleting sections of a page, I want to go back to the stated reason for this. Unless I misunderstand, the question is because of this:
I am very confident that our redaction does remove the redacted content in a manner that makes it impossible to recover.
With that in mind, does it change the discussion?
No, not right I am pleased to be able to inform. Redaction actually removes the redacted content. It removes it from base content, annotations, anything. If it is redacted using our software it is gone and cannot be recovered. This was brought to our attention in Version 8 I believe. It was discovered that initially our redaction was leaving content in annotations and we had to fix it.When you redact text you are still able to retrieve the text if you look hard enough, right?

hmm , it depends, can you redact part of an image? Or a whole image?Paul - Tracker Supp wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 6:04 pm While we could discuss approaches for deleting sections of a page, I want to go back to the stated reason for this. Unless I misunderstand, the question is because of this:

Re: Is it possible to remove a section of a page [Question/Suggestion]
Hello, MedBooster
You can certainly redact parts or the entirety of the image, anything within the "redaction area" when placing the redaction tool will be removed. If this is a comment, in most cases the entire comment (even if only a corner of it is covered) will be removed. In the case of base content, this means that section of the content will be removed. Images will have the section gouged out of them, text will be deleted, if a letter is partially covered (meaning the uncovered section is not marked for redaction), the remaining fragments of it will become separate unrelated "shape" objects.
Kind regards,
