Hello,
the last post regarding the missing security object was from 2021. Are there any updates on when we will be able to sign documents via Javascript?
Thanks in advance

Hello benep,
Can you please link to some of those previous topics?
And in the mean time I will ask our devs to see if there are plans to allow such signing through JS.
Please note that this will likely require elevated context like a trusted function or the JS console, and might not run e.g. from inside a field in the file.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
did you get any information from the devs?
Signing with JS is documented in the Acrobat JS specs. I would want to use it to place a signature relative to a stamp on multiple documents.
I know you can sign multiple documents with the PDF-Tools, however with the PDF-Tools I can't specify the position relative to a stamp (which may be in a different position per doc)
Greetings
Benedikt

Hello benep,
Please when adding information to a topic do it in a new post, as when you update the initial post in the topic - I do not get notifications like for new replies.
We will have a meeting with the devs later today and I will ask them to once again review your request!
Kind regards,
Stefan

I'm the op in the first linked post.
I'd still love to see this feature as well.
Have been paying adobe for 2 years now and would rather buy your product if I could. Cannot do so without this feature though.
JC.

Hello, JC_LA
Sorry for the delay, The meeting Stefan mentioned was focused on the upcoming release of build 367.0 so we did not get to bring this up. You may have noticed, that build is now out and things have calmed down enough for me to talk to the Devs directly.
After that discussion, we can confirm that these particular security objects are still not supported by the Editor, and we do hope to be able to implement them in the future, possibly at some point during the lifetime of V10, but I cannot offer any guarantees for a timeline.
Kind regards,

Re: Missing security object in Javascript
Hi Daniel (or other Tracker Software personnel),
Do you know if support for JS security objects has been added yet in V10? My company is still using V9.5 (licensed), but once this feature is implemented I want to to convince them to push the update, it will be a godsend.

Hello, skozakewich
Unfortunately, no, not yet at least. At this time, I cannot offer any promises on when/if it will be implemented either.
Kind regards,
