[suggestion] Add WebP to "Export to Image(s)"

Post by Jensen Head »

In the current version, when "Export" / "Export to Image(s)..." / "Save As" / "Image Type:" is selected, only the following options are available:

BMP — Windows Bitmap
PNG — Portable Network Graphic
GIF — CompuServe GIF
PBM — Portable Bitmap
PGM — Portable Graymap
PPM — Portable Pixelmap
JBIG2 — Joint Bi-level Image experts Group v2
JPEG2000 — JPEG 2000
JPEG — Joint Photographic Experts Group
WBMP — Wireless Mono Bitmap
PCX — PC Paintbrush File Format
DCX — Multipage PCX
7GA — Truevision Targa
TIFF — Tag Image File Format

Please add WebP format support — https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebP

Hello Jensen Head,

Posting the same reply here as in your other topic:
I believe we use a library for generating those image formats, and likely the WebP file format is not supported by it.
Also - we can not possibly support all image file formats, so if you need a specific one - I am certain there would be some tools that you can use to convert a lossless BMP or even a PNG to WebP quickly and probably also in batched.

Kind regards,
Stefan
