How to flatten stamps?

Post by voidpointer »

When I select "Save as Optimized" in PDF Xchange Editor, stamps are still selectable in the viewer. The only way I know of to make everything in the document non-selectable is to print to PDF, but I know that's not recommended. How can I flatten *all* selectable things in the document, including stamps?

Hello voidpointer,

Welcome to our forums!
Please Click on the "Comment" tab in the Editor, and then you will find flatter a bit further on the right:

This will flatten all comments (including stamps) for you.

Kind regards,
Stefan

Thank you. I thought optimize did this as well. Am I wrong on that?

Hello voidpointer,

Optimize will try to well ... 'optimize' things so that it can produce a smaller file size - but it will not convert stamps to base content objects (stamps as defined in the PDF spec are already quite optimal anyway).

Kind regards,
Stefan

I tested the Flatten option, however this still allows me to select the signature with the Select Text tool (a blue outline appears around it). I'm looking for something more akin to Rasterize Pages without the quality loss (maybe PNG instead of JPEG?). Thanks for your ongoing support.

Hello voidpointer,

Yes - you can try to export your file to images, and then send the images instead of the actual PDF.
Or you can try this:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowle ... -be-edited
And you can select to not allow content copying.

Kind regards,
Stefan
