Hello Team,
I hope you are doing well.
I am new to PDF-Tools. I seacrhed on documentation and on the forums but I did not find what I am looking for. Could you please help me with my use case below?
I would like to run pdftools from command line, executing the changeProps tool, change the Author/Keywords of an exsitent pdf and saved it. I am expecting something like
pdftools /changeProps test.pdf author=gyes
is that possible? if yes, could you please tell me what is the correct syntax?
Thanks and regards,
Gyes

Re: Change Properties from command line
Hi Gyes,
here is the manual page for the PDF-Tools command line options: https://help.pdf-xchange.com/pdfxt ... ons_t.html
It allows you to call a specific tool, so create a custom Tool in the UI, test it, then call it from the command line is the paradigm.
I am keen to hear how that goes for you. Let us know how that works out?

Re: Change Properties from command line
Hello Paul,
thank you so much for your quick reply.
I already took a deep look at the user manual and I did a lot of trials with the UI. But in the UI, it seems I can set the value of the property wiht a defined value or using the available options. The problem is I didn't find an option to say "use the value I am passing via the command line".
Am I missing anything? Sorry and thank you again for your help!

Re: Change Properties from command line
Hi Gyes,
got it. That is not an option. I asked Dev the team of that is something we would consider adding, but the request was rejected.
This is not something that will be added I am afraid.
