Text in foreground ??

Post by agivx3 »

My customer wants to buy PDF Xchange Editor for scanned PDF´s. At the moment we use the test version for trying it out. He only wants to blacken some text passages with black or white boxes and addionally write some new text to the PDF.

I tried to get this working for him. But always when placing rectangled boxes in the pdf and then trying to write new text over them it keeps failing. The text is always in the background. I wasnt able to place text over a box. Is this not possible or am i only doing it the wrong way?

I could need some advice.

Best regards

Hello Andi,

Welcome to our Forum.

Usually, such tasks are fulfilled with the help of the Redaction tool:

An article on how to use it is available here:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowle ... -Redaction

However this tool requires a license to be used without "DEMO" stamps, so if you still want to do this with the box on top of the text, you have to use the Typewriter tool on top

And to make sure that you do not select the rectangle area already on the same place - turn on exclusive mode:

(Or use the Shift key to temporarily toggle this mode on and off.)

Regards.
