After installing build 364 I notice that after printing to the PDFX-Change printer, the created pdf is not opened, eventhough the Run Options are set to open it:
This behaviour is however not allways consistent. Sometimes it opens the pdf, but most of the times it does not.
It is not the end of the world, but annoying it is.
Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?
Regards,
Ed
Changing Default application to Application does not solve this.Build 364 does not open created pdf

Hi evdbogaard,
Your settings look fine to me, and I see no reason why this would not work. It's strange that it works fine sometimes and not others. Could you changing the directory to which the documents are saved, and seeing if that makes any difference?
Kind regards,

Re: Build 364 does not open created pdf
Hi Sean,
Changing the directory to which the file is saved makes no difference.
However, I did notice that in the registry there is a DWORD entry "b.RunApp" with value "0" if in the printer profile the option 'Run Application After Printing' is unchecked:
This DWORD entry is not present when the option 'Run Application' is checked (in that case I would expect a value of "1"):
Maybe this gives a clue where the issue comes from?
Further I wonder if I could reinstall build 363 to check if this behaviour then disappears. Can I just install build 363 over build 364?
Regards,
Ed

Re: Build 364 does not open created pdf
Hi Ed,
thanks for the work you are doing to look into this. A 0 in that key describes it's state, I believe 1 is the equivalent of no key from the software's perspective. Not all keys will work this way but most will. The default is used unless a key is found to change that. No key in this case is interpreted as "Use the Default" - an explicit 1 does the same.
At least that is how I understand this to work, so it doesn't itself explain the inconsistent behaviour.
You could try rolling back but I'm not sure it is the best answer. You would need to uninstall the newer version to roll back and it doesn't help us determine the root of the issue.
Let me escalate this and see what we can do.

Hi Paul,
First my best wishes for the new year.
I installed build 366 and the problem seems to be solved.
Thanks for all your efforts and keep up the good work
