ICONs on taskbar

Post by Msradell »

I'm using PDF-XChange Editor Version 9.4 build 363.0 and for some reason even when I have multiple windows of PDF-XChange Editor the I can stay combined on my 2nd screen but are separated on my 1st screen. I have them set to only combine when the taskbar is full with neither of them is. Any idea how to get them to stay separate on my 2nd screen? It used to work until this latest release was installed on my machine.

Hello, Msradell

This is not something that we control, but it is instead a Windows setting.

You can change these options through Windows itself, to try and accomplish what it is you are looking for.

Yes I'm aware of that setting and I have it set to never combine them, that's why I think this is so strange? I even went so far as to do a fresh install of Windows 10 and it still happening. It's not again killer but it's certainly frustrating.

Hello, Msradell

Do you have this set in both the main taskbar and side taskbar area, for some odd reason windows has two separate controls:

Where did you find that screen you posted in your 2nd reply? I can't find it anywhere. My settings are identical to your settings that you showed in the 1st reply.

Hello, Msradell

This is the exact same screen as in my first screenshot, I simply made the window taller to show both options at the same time in my second screenshot. You can get here easily by right clicking on your taskbar and choosing "taskbar settings"

That's really strange because I can't get to that screen you showed?? When I scroll down to the bottom I get get other settings to put into the taskbar but never a display that shows being able to change the setting for both screens separately? I'm running a laptop with a 2nd monitor attached, I wonder if that makes a difference? And I agree I normally go to the taskbar settings by right clicking on the taskbar.

Hello, Msradell

These options are not at the bottom of the menu, they are closer to the middle (click image to watch gif animation):
