Why intend that replies to highlights are type Sticky Note rather than type Highlight??

Hi Chris,
The purpose of adding replies to comments is to facilitate note-taking, or a conversation between multiple viewers/editors of a document. Sticky notes are the best option for this purpose.

Re: Bug: Reply to highlight comment shows as type Sticky Note
But Sticky Notes are not used for this purpose. Replies are. And Replies are nothing like Sticky Notes. E.g. they are located at a highlight, not freely positioned.Sean - Tracker wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 6:48 pm The purpose of adding replies to comments is to facilitate note-taking, or a conversation between multiple viewers/editors of a document. Re: Bug: Reply to highlight comment shows as type Sticky Note
Hi Chris,
Sticky notes are used for this purpose (replies to comments) in PDF-XChange Editor. There is no practical difference between using a sticky note for replying to a comment and using a normal reply, as is seen in Adobe Acrobat. As indicated, the purpose of adding replies to comments is to facilitate note-taking, or a conversation between multiple viewers/editors of a document. Using sticky note replies is an efficient way to do this and meets the conditions of the ISO PDF Specification, which is what we use as our guide for creating and maintaining PDF software.

Untrue. The program's (ab)use of a sticky note changes the type - as reported.

Re: Bug: Reply to highlight comment shows as type Sticky Note
Hi Chris,
it seems to me that using a sticky note is common. I replied to a highlight using our Editor, Foxit and Adobe Reader X and all resulted in Sticky Notes, even the one that was only a highlight, replying in Adobe created a sticky note.
See this sample. I don't see this changing.
