Hello all,
I have a question regarding attachments in the PDF.
I always have PDF files which have about 30 PDF files as attachments.
Is there a possibility to change the PDF file as follows?
1. export all PDF attachments to one destination.
2. save a copy of the main file to the same destination.
3. merge all files into one PDF
4. so I have 1 PDF file with 31 pages.
Thanks in advance for your help
Many thanks in advance.
Greetings
Xmedia

Re: Attachments in the PDF automatic export
Hi XMedia,
Yes, these operations are certainly possible with PDF-XChange Editor, but I'm afraid there is no way do achieve them faster than simply performing each step manually - I.e.:
1. Select the attachments in the attachments pane, then click Save to save them to a local folder.
2. Save the current document to that same local folder, then close the document in PDF-XChange Editor.
3. Click File -> New Document -> Combine Files into a Single PDF.
4. Select the desired files from the local folder and use them to create a new, single PDF.
Note that it may be possible to automate this process with JavaScript - but you will need someone who is proficient with JavaScript to assist you with that, as it's not our area of expertise.
Kind regards,

Re: Attachments in the PDF automatic export
Hi Xmedia,
PDF Tools will have Export Attachments Tool and Action in the upcoming release. So you will be able create custom Tool that exports attachments and then merges them into one document.

Just around the corner...
All things being equal it should be Monday, but as always we reserve the right to change that at any time for any reason.
cheers
