Before the last big update (9.3 i think) the corner of the higlights were a little bit rounded and now they are flat.
RED - old BLUE - new
It's such a small difference but I got kinda used to it, mostly because I usually highlight other people's document so I kinda know by distance which comments were mine.
Unfortunately no, It is not possible to change back to the old appearance, and we have no plans to do so as this change was implemented by extreme demand. The only way to place highlights with the old appearance going forward, will be to run the software in an old build.

I really liked the that the highlights are now flat. Before, the rounded corners would take the space between the letters of my documents and I found this to give a impression that the words are closer than it should.
nizdi, in the comments pane, maybe you can group the comments in your pdfs by author to help you see your highlights :

or you can control which highlights appears to you:
but I understand that your old method could be preferred to you
I was about to create a thread for this exact issue.
Please, this change absolutely must be reversed.

Is there a way to go back to it?
I'll post a screenshot in a moment why this is so.
I am afraid that, as mentioned above, we have no intention of reversing this change. It was a very deliberate change that required a very large amount of requests before the Dev team would agree to make it in the first place, it will require an order of magnitude more demand for them to even consider undoing the change after the work that was put in already.
