Installing the printer driver at run time

Post by c2h » Tue Jan 15, 2008 5:14 pm

Hello,

Is it possible to install (or hide) the printer driver at each print job, and how long does it take ? The goal is to keep the computer like it is without adding anything the user may not want.

Thanks

Christian

Hi,

In Version 3 no, the printer driver resides in the printers list and is visible to all.

In Version 4 which we are just preparing now for release a temporary printer is created which never appears in the users Printers list and mutliple instances can be created - specific to each job sent.

However - please note it is still a device being installed and therefore Admin rights are require on first installing - but not required to run thereafter.
