display of pages side by side

Post by chickenrun »

Hello,
The "display 2 pages side by side" is a perfect way to read many books but when one has, for example, four pages, impossible to have the first two pages together, then the other two. We have only the first page, then 2 other pages and the last page alone, why?

That's the way that Foxit Reader displays "Facing Pages," but it is wrong.

In a four page booklet, pages 2-3 are facing pages, not 1-2 and 3-4.

Books or magazines may be designed with a spread across two pages, especially on the centre page spread, so the viewer should display them as they were designed to be viewed — facing each other.

The pages display are as though you are reading a book. You can see only page one; turn the page and then you can see pages two and three. It is the traditional accepted way of displaying pages. The same method is used in other programs.
