blacking out with different color than black
Hi !
when I blacken out sensitive infos I sometimes need to change the blacking-out color.
I can not find any point where I can define the black-out colour.
Any ideas ?

Re: blacking out with different color than black
It goes about the "Redaction" tool.
While using the Classic Toolbars in PDF-XChange Editor, once you have clicked the Document-menu > Redaction > Mark for Redaction, you will get an extra toolbar where you can click the "Redaction Fill Color" icon to change the color.
While using the Ribbon User Interface, once you have clicked the Protect-ribbon > Mark for Redaction and you have selected the text, you will get "Format" and "Arrange" ribbons. In the Format ribbon, click the Redaction Color icon to change the color.

Re: blacking out with different color than black
This method only seems to work if I select each "marked for redaction" box and individually change the color. I have nearly 2000 selections I want to change the color from black. It is not feasible for me to select each box and change the redaction color one-by-one.
I tried changing the Style Tools default to my desired settings but this method still requires me to select each item individually and apply the default.
How can I change the color of the default redaction for all selected markings so I can avoid the tedium?
Thanks.

Re: blacking out with different color than black
A possible solution:
- activate the Comments pane (View-ribbon > Panes > Comments)
- activate the Properties pane (View-ribbon > Panes > Properties Pane)
- in the Comments pane (at the left), click the Options... icon (in the toolbar of the pane)
- in the menu, click Show Comments > By Type > Redaction (instead of 'All')
- select all the redactions in the Comments pane, by pressing CTRL + A on your keyboard
- now, in the Properties pane (at the right), change the "Redaction Color" to the color that you like
- finally, in the colored bar above the top of the page, click "Apply All"
Please let us know if this works for you.
Best regards.
