Restore the last view of document / panes

Post by zarkogajic »

Hi support,

This should probably go to EU Forum, but I first need to double check if this should do what I think it should...

Having a document open, some pane like Layers made visible, document closed.

Reopening the same document will by default show the Layers pane.

I want to disable this, and I thought settings this option ("Restore the last used view ..." ) to OFF should do it:

However, even when the setting is OFF, upon reopening the document, all document related panes will be displayed if they were visible before closing the document previously.

So, is this the setting to be used?

Btw, that should be "DocView.RestoreLastLayout", correct?

p.s.
Using version 335.

Hello zarkogajic,

You probably need to turn this one off as well:

Hi Stefan,

That setting is for something else (page layout and zoom).

I've done a few more tests and this issue happens only for NON-PDF documents.

When a non-PDF doc is opened (+ conversion on the fly) - activating some panes and closing the document - reopening reopens the panes - so the "DocView.RestoreLastLayout" setting is not applied to NON PDFs.

Hello zarkogajic,

Thanks! It was worth a try I guess!
I will now ask Sasha to take a look and see if he has any further recommendations.

Kind regards,
Stefan

Hello zarkogajic,

That indeed should go to the EU forums - if the fix should be made - it should be made in the EU Editor thus the SDK will automatically be fixed.

Cheers,
Alex
