I use PDFE 8 (16.12.19) as portable version (settings.dat in the same directory ).
The adjustments to the highlight tools weren't saved (i.e. other colours).
Any ideas out there? TIA!

Hi Paro,
thanks for the post, and welcome to the Tracker Forums!
Can you upload your settings.dat file, along with screen shots of the changes you made to the Tools that are not being saved please? The settings file will need to be zipped first. Alternatively you can email to support@pdf-xchange.com and include a cross reference to this forum thread.

Hello Paro,
Please note that the pre-sets that come with the Editor cannot be edited. Any changes made for them will be reset the next time you start the Editor.
If you would like to create your own custom styles, please clone one of the existing styles and then make the desired changes to it.
You can read more about how to customize the styles in your palette from the following knowledge base article:
How do I save and access customized tool styles in PDF-XChange Editor?
Regards,
Radi

Re: portable version: settings to tools are not saved
Thank you. I had the same problem. Though it seems you can delete the original tool styles after defining your custom ones.
So: make a clone of an already existing tool style - customize to your needs - restart, custom style is still there - delete original styles - restart, only your custom styles remain.
Hope that helps someone.
