How to bring back toolbar and menu look prior to 8.0 332.0

Version 8.0 has changed a lot of user friendly features I was using.
For example, I used View dropdown to select Snap to Grid and Show Grid.
Now I can't even find the Snap to function.
How do I bring back the menu behavior prior to 8.0?
HOw do I turn off menu icons?
How do I get back drop down items from the main menu selections like "View"?

Hi leishirsute,

you can switch back to the "Classic" menu using the toggle at the top right of the Editor.
