Double Commenting Annotations

Post by standish-001 »

Hi,

Long theoretical definition in a paper. Normally will highlight the whole thing.

In later reviewing the chapter(s), I find that there may be a simple three-word sequence within these longer highlights that is really the beating heart of the definition, the hook on which to hang the rest of the definition - the call back.

If I was reading the book itself I might find myself highlighting the longer definition first, and the underlining these key phrases.

Is there any way I could approximate this with PDF X-Change Editor? Could I go INTO the highlight and then ADD an underline?

Or, any other way?

(Right now my Highlights also copy the text.)

Many thanks,

SW

Hello Standish,

The Commenting tools are able to select each other by default, if you need to place two of them over the same passage, simply hold the "Shift" key to temporarily enable "Exclusive mode" to prevent the current tool from selecting anything other than the current annotation. this will allow you to apply highlights and underlines to the same passage of text in any order.
