Wrong Colours PDF Xchange Editor

Hello Support,

we have on 10 % our PCs (20) the Problem, that the Colour is wrong on the Display and when printed with PDF XChange Editor (Version 6.0 Build 321). If you open the same PDF with Adobe DC everything is fine.

The PC are installed with the same Image, have the same Network Printers installed.
I tried several things, like reinstall Xchange Editor, deleting all Printers even with Registry cleanup.


Only solution I found yet, is to install the PDF Xchange Viewer Pro (Version 2.5 Build 201.0)
I am not happy with that, as you can imagine.

Can you please send us sample document where the issue is reproducible, screenshot of your "Color Managment" page on Editor Preferences dialog, and, the ICC profile of your monitor (or, ZIP and send us all files from your c:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\drivers\color folder).

Also - are you using custom colour profiles in windows and/or for the monitors on those 10% of the machines where the issue occurs?

some User have the same Problem. nearly the same Color mistakes.

Version. PDF-XChange Editor 8.331.0

Color Management was said to be up for an overhaul for quite some time now. But unfortunately it does not seem to be high on the list?!

Problem solved!

in this Directory there was a ICC from the Manufacturer of the Display.
c:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\drivers\color

After deleting this ICC the Problems are.

Instead of deleting the whole ICC profile you could tell Windows not to use it (it will use sRGB then). This way you at least had a choice if you need it later on.
