I noticed that the PDF-Xchange Editor leaves a lot of log files in the temp directory.
Is there any option to stop logging (which may be useful for debugging purposes only) ?

Re: Log files
It seems that these files are logs from installation. Did you get logs from current work?

Re: Log files
Ok, seems to be the remnants of the installation. I did several installations/deinstallations, so I had many of them.
In normals usage, only a sub-dir "PDFXEdit" in temp is left.
Thanks.

Re: Log files
Hi guys,
When you close the Editor this folder remains but should be empty.
hth
I expect that's it. The Editor will create temp files. Editor specific files should be in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Temp\PDFXEdit - actaully what ever is the value of %TEMP%\PDFXEditOk, seems to be the remnants of the installation.
When you close the Editor this folder remains but should be empty.

Re: Log files
Hello Oliverolsen,
Thank you for the report, Are you certain these are log files and not our Temp files which are cleared on a successful close? During normal use the Editor will by default create temporary files that store changes every few minutes (5 minutes by default) since the last save on a file (including newly created files) so that in case of a crash you can recover your data. When the file is saved or closed this data is cleared automatically.
Can you verify that these files remain after closing the application, and that no "recovery pane" appears when you open the Editor?
If these files do remain in place, and are definitely appearing each time you create a document, please tell us the path to these log files, and send us one of the files for investigation.
Kind regards,

Re: Log files
Hello oliver,
Thank you for the contents there.
As we make no use whatsoever of any Ghostscript functions and seeing the fact that these files are not created within our temp folders, It appears this is not being created by our software. Looking into the "Artifex Software" that it mentions, I discovered this is a document management system: https://artifex.com/
I would advise you look into this software, as according to this log file, it is almost certainly the culprit.
