Print PDF-Xchange V8

Hello,
We have Problem with printing form PDF Xchange v8.
SGMP bizhub19060313140_4.png
in the PDF file the lines are continous. printed out they are dotted or slashed. with Acrobat Reader Dc and PDF XChange v7 they are printed as they should be...
any help?

Hi,
I just sent you an EMail with the original PDF.
just tested it on an color laser and there was no problem. but problem still exist on an black/with laser (HP LaserJet flow MFP M830)

Hi GMP-Admin,

Printing your file to an HP Laser printer and the results are as per Adobe DC and V7 of PDF-XChange.

What we need, in order to further this investigation is the make and model of your printer. We also need to know the exact driver version you are using. This is because we can set up a simulation of printing your document to that printer, but it must of course be an exact match to what ytou are using to be relevant.

So the first thing I would ask yo to do is ensure you have the latest drivers for your printer installed and test again. If the result is the same, please send us a link to the driver package you installed and tested with, and we will use that to see if we can determine the cause of the issue.

Hi,
we just update the drivers to "HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL6 (6.7.0.23989)" [https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/softwar ... 3989.exe] and the problem still exits.
problem also confimred with the same driver on a "HP OfficeJet Pro 8730"

Thanks for that GMP-Admin,

we are investigating this version driver and your file.
We would like to know if Setting the "Line Width Mode" to "Device Units" changes this behaviour:

You will find that in the Print dialogue at the bottom when clicking the "More" button:

Can you also tell us the build number of the V8 Editor you are printing from? Is it the latest release from us? 8.0.331.0

Hi,
yes it's the latest release (8.0.331.0).
And i get the dotted and dashed result with the "Line Width Mode" - Setting on "Device Units" and on "Logical Units".

With the "Print as Image" Setting it is printed as it should be, so this could be a workaround, but depending on the dpi it gets a bit blurry...

we have reproduced the issue using that driver versin you sent. Thank you for that. We will continue our investigations. We will post here as we progress this.
I have raised a Support Request Ticket to track the progress of this, while internal only, the reference is RT#4801: Printing to HP printer line issue and any support staff member can get you a status update.

I am pleased to be able to report that the cause of the printing issue has been determined and corrected. The fix will be available in the next release currently slated for the end of June.

Hi Peter,

Very likely not, as it appears that your issue was different, as it was the software that you were using that was causing the problem. The issue occurred with multiple printers and therefore was not something that we can correct in our software.

Hello GMP-Admin,

Apologies for the delay, we pushed the release back to fit in some additional fixed and add a bit more polish to some of the new features. We are in the final stages of testing currently, and should have build 332 available by this time next week (hopefully sometime on Monday).

No sign of an update since April's initial v8 release.This is the logest time there has been between updates for a long time and I wonder what is going on, especially as I have received my "renew" reminder.

The reason we have comfortably waited longer than usual for this release is because this has been the most stable release we have made available recently, with no devastatingly critical bugs to speak of (such as crashes, security or licensing issues). We opted to take advantage of this, and polish the next build further before the release. Hopefully this is the beginning of a slightly longer cycle wherein we can confidently release larger more impactful and more stable builds, albeit with slightly longer delays between each release.

Hi Daniel,

I missed the previous post to which you referred, sorry.

I have always been astounded at the number of improvements and fixes that you have put into each release. I have not had any particular show-stopping issues, but then again, I am not a power user by any means. Personally, I prefer more frequent releases, but Tracker is the only company with which I have a subscription. I hate such licencing, your you lot are worth it 110%.
