V7 Ignoring Settings

We've used V4 for quite some time and just recently updated to V7. We have some specific settings that we like so we go to Printers & Scanners, click on "PDF-XChange Lite", press the "Manage" button and choose "Printing preferences". When the PDF-XChange Lite Printing Preferences dialog comes up, we select "Save" and UNcheck the "Show 'Save As.... Dialog" box and the "Run Application After Printing" box, and change the path to a temp folder we use. After pushing Apply and then OK we use our application (4D) to print a letter.

While the settings seem to "stick" (i.e. doing the above process shows it "remembered" the settings), now with the new version when we try and print we are presented with a Save As dialog box---despite that option be UNchecked in the preferences. So it seems to be ignoring that setting somehow? Any ideas on how to correct that?

Hello pbrandon,
The "Last Used Path" function can cause this issue as it will give you the option to realize that the current path is not the desired path. To disable this, open the printer preferences and re-enable the "show save as dialog" check box, then use the Browse dropdown and uncheck the "Last used path" option:

After this, you can disable the "Show save as dialog" option once again and should find all is working well.
