Full screen

Post by Kalle534 »

Hello,

I am new here and I just installed the PDF-XCange Editor (free version). It works really good but for a presentation by beamer I need the full screen without any menu bar. Is it possible to see only the PDF-File without any menue-bar and is it also possible to work in this configuration?

Thanks a lot,

Kalle

Hello Kalle,

Welcome to our forums.
Please try the F11 key on your keyboard. This should switch to full screen mode with no menus shown.
As for working in that mode - some shortcuts will work, and you can navigate the pages forwards/backwards, but please expect that the set of things you will be able to do in full screen is limited compared to the normal mode.

Regards,
Stefan

Hello Stefan,

thank you for your answer.

I have here a Tablet-Notebook and for me it is important that I can write in full-screen-modus with a pencil into my PDF-File!

Is this possible with another version of PDF-XChange Editor (where I had to pay, not the free version)?

Thank you again,

Kalle

Hello Kalle,

Thank you for your post. Alternately, you can use Ctrl+F8 to hide all toolbars, but still work with the PDF normally.

I hope this helps!
If posting files to this forum, you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded.
Thank you.

Hello again,

until now it works good, but if I press CTRL + F8, my PDF-Picture will not automaticly scaled to this screen. And if I want to go to the next picture I have to scroll by the mouse to the next pic.
In the mode, when I press F11, there it goes automaticly, but here I cannot write into my PDF-File.

If I use this program in a presentation before 200 people, it would be better, that all would go like in mode F11.

Is it possible, that it works also automatic in mode CTRL + F8 (scale and scroll)?

Thanks a lot,

Kalle

Hello Kalle534,
Fullscreen mode does indeed hide most tools during its use.
With that being said, you can setup hotkey combinations for most functions. Allowing you a fairly high level of manipulation from within fullscreen mode.
You can do this from the customize toolbars menu, Under Commands.

…until now, thank you very much for your answers.

I am a beginner in PDF-Xchange Editor. My problem is, that I want in fullscreen mode make any notices by the pencil (Stift).

Can you give my an example, how I can setup hotkey combinations that I can use the pencil (Stift) in fullscreen mode?

Thank you,

Kalle

Hello Kalle,

I believe this will be a good starting point:
How do I create custom shortcut keys for toolbar commands?

Hello violab,

Just checked with a colleague from the dev team, and he has confirmed that for now the panes (Bookmarks, Thumbnails, etc.) do not support touch input.

Stefan
